This acute care facility has recently undergone new projects to improve the facility including a new detox unit and a fully digital imaging suite. The Nurse Director of Behavioral Health will be joining a highly skilled detox team in a new Behavioral Health Unit.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Nurse Director of Behavioral Health will demonstrate expertise in coordinating, directing, and managing all aspects of the behavioral health and detox treatment program. The Nurse Director of Behavioral Health will be supported by a Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and Educator, and Mental Health Therapists. The staff members of the unit will work together to provide the best quality of patient care.
This medical center has a brand new 30 bed Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. The Psychiatric Unit contains spacious patient rooms, wellness areas, and on site counseling suites. The Unit promotes interactions between patient and staff to support therapeutic goals.
The Nurse Director of Behavioral Health will participate in the planning and providing of staff development and in-service training programs for unit staff. The Nurse Director of Behavioral Health will be responsible for supervising over unit staff education, evaluating staff performance, hiring staff, and financially managing the detox behavioral health program. The Nurse Director of Behavioral Health will also perform clinical operations as needed within the unit consisting of consulting with patients and their families and making rounds regularly to ensure patient needs are being met.

The new Nurse Director of Behavioral Health will be centrally located to big cities including Baltimore and Philadelphia.
