The 150+ bed hospital has a patient volume of 4,000 surgeries per year. The Nurse Director Medical Surgical Unit will be responsible for leading and managing employees in the Med Surg Department. The Unit Director RN will provide educational training, facilitate department meetings and huddle the management team to determine best practices for the unit. Furthermore, the Director will be liable for the unit complying to the organizations policies and procedures.
The organization is seeking a Nurse Director Medical Surgical Unit who has previous management experience in a Med-Surg department with a go-getter leadership style. The ideal candidate will guide and mentor the 50 staff RNs they will oversee. The candidate must also be licensed as a Registered Nurse RN as accepted by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
