An immediate opening for a Nurse Director of the Emergency Department is now available in the Greater Washington DC area at a fantastic short-term acute care hospital. 

The Nursing Director of Emergency Services will work in a 50+ bed non-profit acute care hospital that offers state of the art medical care.  This award winning medical center is part of a larger health system that is dedicated to providing all patients with only the best medical care.  This prestigious medical system is one of the top employers in Maryland and offers employees a fantastic place to work. 

The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will provide direction over a busy and newly renovated Emergency Department that has recently expanded in size.  This busy ED sees over 40,000 patients a year, with this number on the rise.  Typical cases include major and minor injuries, cardiac, orthopedic, and behavioral and mental emergencies.  

The Nurse Director Emergency Services will serve as a resource, leader, and advisor over the unit, and report to the Vice President of Patient Care Services.   The Nurse Director of the Emergency Department will have multiple Assistant Nurse Managers Emergency Department to help run this busy unit.  This Nursing Director Emergency Care will work well under pressure and be able to think quickly on his or her feet.
