Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Definitive Observation Unit will be well supported by a DOU Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, and experienced Step-Down Unit RNs on a busy Definitive Observation Unit. The Nurse Director Definitive Observation Unit will be responsible for patient safety and staff development initiatives.
The Nurse Director Definitive Observation Unit will be responsible for strategic planning, budget management, program development, policies and procedures implementation,
performance improvement and compliance. The Nurse Director Definitive Observation Unit will collaborate with other Nursing Directors, Ancillary Directors, Nursing Administration and Physicians in a variety of committees within the hospital.
