The Nurse Director Cardiovascular Cath Lab will join a reputable, non-profit health system in Pennsylvania that is known for their acute care hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, physician practices, specialized program, Cancer Center, and Level 1 Trauma Center. The Nurse Director Cardiac Cath Lab will work for a 300-bed acute care hospital that was recently recognized by the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for their 5 Star Overall Hospital Quality Rating and ‘A’ Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. This teaching hospital was also awarded for their stroke program, heart failure program, women’s center, Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award, and more.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Cardiac Cath Lab will be accountable for overseeing both the Cath Lab and Cardiovascular Service department. Responsibilities of the Nurse Director Cardiac Cath Lab include overseeing operational workflow, managing the department budget, identifying growth opportunities, creating strategic short term and long term goals, updating policy procedures, utilizing outcomes data to implement quality performance improvement initiatives, cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, assisting with educational programming, and ultimately being a resource to their team. The Nurse Director Cardiac Cath Lab will be supported by Nurse Managers, Assistant Nurse Managers, a team of specialized registered nurses, technicians, assistants, and other ancillary staff.
The Nurse Director Cardiac Cath Lab will hold an RN license, prior leadership experience, and a clinical background working in a cath lab and/or cardiovascular services. Ideally, the Nurse Director Cardiac Cath lab is master’s prepared, be currently enrolled, or be willing to obtain their master’s in the near future.
