Nurse Case Manager

A great hospital in Northern Virginia has created multiple new positions for Nursing Case Managers to work on the inpatient side and they are looking to hire quickly.

The 300+ bed hospital offers comprehensive services to address medical issues from routine to emergent and acute, including ER, Surgery, Orthopedics program, NICU and more. The hospital consistently earns high patient satisfaction scores, as well as high nursing satisfaction and retention rates. 

The Nurse Case Manager will work in an interdisciplinary team to develop a case plan for patients from pre-admission to discharge. This position requires a high degree of organization and excellent communication skills, as collaboration with providers, departments and services throughout the hospital is a large part of the job.

The ultimate goal of a Case Manager is to support patients as they travel through the hospitalization process, ensuring they receive the care and resources needed, while ultimately ensuring quality cost-effective outcomes. This role will also interact and communicate with third party payers from admission to discharge for prior-approval or to clarify coverage. 

The Nurse Case Manager requires hospital nursing experience and previous case management experience within a hospital setting is preferred.
