Whether working on the Inpatient Behavioral Health side or in the Outpatient Psychiatric clinic setting, the ARNP Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will be joining an excellent organization with an admired relationship to the community. The incoming Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will directly support these services by working as either an Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or as an Outpatient Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Reporting administratively to the Director of Behavioral Health Health Programs and Clinical Services, and clinically to the Supervising Physician, each of the Mental Health Nurse Practitioners will serve in a matrixed organization, where cooperation and collaboration are every bit as important as patient care. You’ll get to work alongside an an exceptional team of Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Board Certified Psychiatric / Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, Physician’s Assistants, Mental Health Certified RNs, and a caring support staff.
If the Mental Health ARNP prefers an inpatient environment, this person will work with diverse age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, and populations across the spectrum of diagnosis. This trusted community partner offers inpatient services for drug & alcohol dependency, crisis stabilization, and dual diagnosis, as well as offering an award winning Partial Hospitalization Program.
For the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who prefers an outpatient setting, this person will work with the same diverse age groups and population types, but in a clinic-based setting. This setting allows the Psychiatric and Behavioral Health Programming team to offer more extensive outreach and education services such as Stress Management, Diagnosis Education, Coping, Self-Esteem, and Social Skills Education.
The Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide compassionate and complete patient care through the evaluation of needs, development and implementation of treatment plans, and the monitoring of treatment results. Additionally, the NP will play an important part in supporting quality improvement initiatives, continuous evaluation of new psychotherapeutic and interdisciplinary treatment methods, and participating in shared staff educational initiatives.
