A Night Shift Hematology Nurse Educator is needed to help support the night shift staff nursing needs of a great inpatient hematology and leukemia hospital unit. Hematology Oncology Nurse Educator will work night shift from 7:00 pm – 7:30 am, three shifts per week. The Nurse Educator Hematology will report to the Nurse Director Hematology and will work collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The Hematology RN Educator will organize the Hematology orientation program for nursing students, new staff members, and preceptors. The Educator will also work with preceptors to assess the program and assist the department in developing the annual competency checklists. The RN Educator will serve as a clinical expert in the Hematology specialty and will be available to the unit for clinical questions and guidance when needed.
The Nurse Educator Hematology will need their Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of experience in the clinical specialty. The RN Educator Hematology will utilize evidence based practice and will remain informed of new clinical trends and bench marking.
