The NICU Nurse Education Director will work with skilled nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, and respiratory therapists that staff the unit. The NICU is designed to provide highly specialized and technically advanced care to high-risk, ill, and premature babies. 

The NICU Nurse Education Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of continuing education and professional development initiatives for staff of the hospital’s NICU. They will work in collaboration with the department's Clinical Director of Nursing and will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. They will be supported by multiple Nurse Managers and Nurse Educators. The NICU Nurse Education Director will also be in charge of interview and hiring staff, continuously monitoring staff performance during orientation phases and the first year of hire, and ensuring successful staff advancements. The ideal candidate will have previous NICU and education experience.
