A long-standing, not-for-profit hospital situated Southern Texas is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join the team and help shape the high-risk neonatal department of the hospital.
The NICU Nurse Practitioner will work in the Birth Center of the hospital and develop a program to provide proper care to high-risk babies. The hospital has a small Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and is expanding their Labor and Delivery scope of services. The Hospital partners with one of Texas' leading Children's hospitals and the Nurse Practitioner will be a part of Children's Hospital's multidisciplinary team and care for patients at the satellite location. The Nurse Practitioner will have the opportunity to provide clinical expertise and leadership throughout the L&D department and really shape what this high-risk neonatal unit will become.
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will report to the Chief of Medical Staff and work with leadership across the hospital. The facility is a part of a large, highly-respected health system, so resources and talent will be shared from sister hospitals in order to get the high-risk neonatal unit up and running.
The organization prides itself on creating a family-like atmosphere for its employees; it is not uncommon to work alongside staff who have been with the organization for over 20 years and have found long-term career satisfaction there.
The hospital offers an extremely generous compensation package, as well as a full suite of benefits.
