Reporting to the Medical Surgical Clinical Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will join a highly knowledgeable nursing team, including the Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialists, charge nurses, and senior staff. The Assistant Nurse Manager of the Inpatient Medical Surgical unit will work alongside a diverse team with backgrounds in medical surgical, critical care, telemetry, endoscope, oncology, orthopedics, and more.
The Assistant Nurse Manager of the Inpatient Medical Surgical unit will have previous leadership experience and a strong background in either a Med Surg or Critical Care unit. Being a strong communicator is key in this role, especially when delivering sensitive information with both the patients and their families. The Assistant Nurse Manager of the Inpatient Medical Surgical unit will be hungry to learn, up-to-date with evidence-based research, and focused on delivering top-notch patient care. Responsibilities of the Med Surg Assistant Nurse Manager will include overseeing unit work flow, collaborating with multidisciplinary team to develop favorable patient care treatment plans, and training new-hires.
