The Manager of Risk and Quality will play an integral role in this community medical system, leading multiple, complex programs and projects that will improve the operations and safety for the staff, patients, and the community.
- Performance Improvement: The Manager will oversee departmental / unit-based performance initiatives, helping to create a culture of excellence.
- Risk Management: develop data-driven risk reduction programs, leading root cause analysis, investigating incidents, and optimizing safe patient care processes and procedures
- Survey Readiness: develop processes for maximum survey preparedness, developing / deploying internal audit procedures to ensure facilities are meeting all regulatory requirements. The Manager will also lead survey proceedings for CMS, The Joint Commission, the Department of Health, and local regulators.
- Quality Education Support: working closely with educators and unit leaders, share ways to build quality improvement and risk aversion into daily activities.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, and working in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and other administrative staff, the Manager of Quality and Risk will serve as the medical center’s primary Compliance Officer and Chair of the Committee on Safety. This person will actively promote a culture of safety, responsibility, and patient-centered awareness.
