Manager of HIM

An acute care facility in a beautiful country town in Chaffee County is hiring a Manager of HIM to join their wonderful team of Healthcare professionals. This hospital is a 30+ bed critical access well accredited for their caring and professional team of employees, and state of the art, innovative care for all. 

The Manager of HIM will oversee all Health Information services within the facility while reporting directly up to the Director of HIM. The responsibilities of this position may vary, but include;

  •  Protecting patients rights to their health information
  • Oversee all operations of the Health Information 
  • Collaborates with other departments managers for proper revenue cycle management 
  • Submitting data to CHA (Colorado Hospital Association)
  • Monitoring data and employees to be sure they are in compliance with Medical Staff Laws
  • Works with HIPAA/Compliance committee
  • Works with HRRMC's Personnel 

The facility is reliant of Manager of HIM to secure all written and electronic data within the Medical Records department, while training and meeting with employees to ensure things are running up to par. Employee supervisory may also include recruiting efforts, while being part of the interview process of open positions. The goals of the facility include delivery quality healthcare to the community, while staying organized, strong, and collected. The patient data will range from past Medical History for physicians, nurses, etc., usage as well as test results from on-site Laboratories. 

Previous experience in a supervisory role in Health Information is strongly preferred, but not mandatory for consideration. One must be registered as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or a Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
