The Manager of Clinical Laboratory Services will be part of a nonprofit organization with 2 hospital campuses serving communities in the  San Francisco Bay Area peninsula for more than 50 years. Accredited by the College of American Pathologists, the fully automated clinical laboratory in two campuses provide testing around the clock for inpatients, emergency department patients, and outpatients. Blood samples are collected by state ­certified phlebotomists - health workers with expertise in drawing blood. Testing is performed by the California ­licensed Clinical Lab Scientist staff and monitored by board ­certified pathologists.

The Clinical Laboratory Manager will work with a hospital that was named to Healthgrades top 5 percent of U.S. hospitals based on clinical outcomes across multiple specialties. The Manager of Clinical Laboratory Services will direct daily operations of the Clinical Laboratory, Microbiology and Pathology Services with 24-hour responsibility. The Clinical Laboratory Manager will provide leadership and works closely with Lab/Pathology management, staff, and pathologists, to guide technical and operational direction, planning and coordination of services.

The Manager of Laboratory and Pathology Department will be responsible for project planning and development; equipment and facilitates planning, staff development and training; budget preparation; regulatory compliance; contract negotiations for equipment, maintenance and supplies; productivity and performance improvement.
