A small hospital near the Arizona border is looking for a Manager Health Information Management (HIM) to join their team.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the HIM Manager will work with medical records staff and Coders to ensure quality data measures are achieved within the Medical Records Department. The Medical Records Manager will also oversee 4 FTE’s. Requirements for this position include a minimum of an Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, 3+ years’ experience as a Supervisor, Manager, or Director HIM. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is also a requirement.
Responsibilities for the Manager Health Information Management include day to day operations for the HIM Department, all budgeting for the department, complete all CMS Recovery Audit Contractor requests, and ensures performance improvement standards are met within the department. The HIM Manager will also be responsible for maintaining records, along with proper retention and disposal of medical records. The HIM Manager will also submit reports for the Office of Health Planning and Development (OSHPD).
