The Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will work in a perioperative department that is known to perform a number of surgical services to patients in need. The Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will work on a number of different procedures including endoscopic and gastrointestinal. Bariatric, colorectal surgery, gynecological and urological, cardiovascular and thoracic, orthopedic and spine surgeries, as well as total join replacements. The Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will also work in a department that utilizes a da Vinci Surgical System that is used for minimally invasive surgeries to ensure faster recovery, shorter hospital stays, decrease scarring and blood loss, reduce risk of wound infections, and helps patients experience better surgical outcomes.
The Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will report to the Senior Director of Perioperative Services and will collaborate with the Medical Director of Anesthesiology. The Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will supervise the daily activities of the anesthesiology nurses and will assist in administering anesthetics to patients. The Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will assist in managing the department fiscal budget, interprets and maintains department policies and procedures, monitors quality control initiatives, and evaluates staff according to departmental needs. The Lead Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will oversee a team of at least 20 CRNA’s and will be expected to represent the anesthesiology nursing department during meetings and committees.
