The ICU Nurse Manager will serve as the Intensive Care Unit’s leader. Functioning with initiative and judgment, the ICU Nurse Manager will oversee the nurses, providers, physicians, and ancillary staff that are within and interact with the Intensive Care Unit. The ICU Nurse Manager will ensure the continuum of care and that quality care is being provided by interacting with Emergency Room Managers, ER Directors, Trauma Program Coordinators, Trauma Managers, and more. The ICU Nurse Manager will develop employees within the Intensive Care Unit through providing them with learning opportunities. ICU employees will be kept up to date with organizational strategic initiatives, performance issues, clinical issues, policies changes, and procedure alterations by the ICU Nurse Manager. The ICU Nurse Manager will assist with facilitating meetings for the ICU, Critical Care Committee, Pathways to Excellence and any other necessary meetings to facilitate reporting, communication and collaboration.

The ICU Nurse Manager will be collaborating with excellent healthcare providers in this position as the facility has teamed up with a local university.
