Hospital Physician Contract Administrator

The Physician Contract Administrator will be part of a 300 plus bed Public District Medical Center that has been serving the surrounding communities for the past 60 years. Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Physician Contract Administrator will promote and direct all contracting efforts on behalf of the hospital.  The Physician Contract Administrator will be responsible for all physician and non-physician contracts for the Hospital with exception of hospital payor and physician payor contacting.

The Contract Administrator will be responsible for contract development and maintenance, ensuring accuracy, quality, integrity, and compliance with hospital policies and procedures. The Contract Administrator will administer and maintain the Meditract system that houses all hospital contracts, and will keep management abreast of contracts coming for renewal or termination. 

The ideal candidate for Contract Administrator will have Juris Doctorate degree with minimum of 5 years related experience within a healthcare environment in Contract Administration. Proficiency in preparing and evaluating physician and non-physician contracts.  Paralegal expertise in developing contractual terms and provisions according to hospital policies and federal and state regulations are required.

The Contract Administrator should have Federal and State regulation knowledge in healthcare compliance, STARK, Anti-kickback and other regulatory requirements pertaining to physician related contracts strongly preferred.  The Contract Administrator should have excellent skills in dealing with members of the public, patients and co- workers working effectively with administration, employees and medical staff.
