The Hospital Nurse Director of Inpatient Surgery will oversee a large inpatient surgery unit which purses the latest surgery education and technology for all the unit employees. This award-winning Surgery Department preforms more than 20,000 surgeries a year Ear, nose, throat, Gastroenterology, General surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedic, Pediatric dental, Podiatry, Reconstructive, and Urology.


The Hospital Nurse Director of Inpatient Surgery is responsible for maintaining and exceeding standards of excellence while adhering to the facilities values of respect, dignity, and caring. The Director will serve as a Change Agent and show leadership through employee engagement, setting the tone, working closely collaborating with nurse leaders and physicians. The Director reports to the CNO and develops, implements, and oversees policies and procedures to create an effective working unit while retaining excellent staff. Quality Improvement and knowledge of regulations are a crucial part of this position.
