Hospital Legal Contract Administrator (J.D.)

A respected healthcare system is now hiring for Contract Administrator. The Legal Contract Administrator will have exceptional leadership and communication abilities (both written and oral). Because this is a legal position in nature, qualified candidates will have received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

The Legal Contract Administrator directly prepares and develops contractual agreements for physician-related contracts and non-physician contracts. As such, the Lawyer Contract Administrator will collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Chief Administration Officer of Physician Integration and Business Development, and the Director of Corporate Compliance. Additionally, given the legal-centric nature of the role, the Contract Administrator will regularly collaborate with the hospital’s in-house legal counsel. As needed, the Legal Contract Administrator may obtain outside legal counsel. 

The ideal Legal Contract Administrator will have knowledge of STARK, Anti-Kickback and other regulatory requirements regarding physician-related contracts. The Contract Administrator’s additional duties include:

 

  • Directly implement, administer, and financially track all contracts for the system;
  • Ensure accuracy, quality, integrity, and compliance with all hospital policies and procedures, including all state and federal regulatory requirements;
  • Administer and maintain the Meditract System, which houses all hospital contracts;
  • Provide continuing education to leadership pertaining to basics of contract management, terms and condition, and more.
