This 200-bed acute care medical center in Northeast Texas seeks an experienced Director of Patient Finance to join it’s well-regarded and established hospital administration team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director of Patient Billing & Finance will lead a multidisciplinary team of Medicare and self-pay financial analysts, clinical informatics specialists, and revenue cycle personnel in a busy and challenging department.
Working in collaboration and in conjunction with the Health Information Management (HIM) team, Patient Experience and Engagement Specialists, Admissions, Case Management, and Revenue Cycle experts, the Director of Patient Finance will play an increasingly important role for this medical center and its operations.
You’ll play an active part in managing the patient accounting procedure, routinely balancing accounts with the accounts receivable team. A Director with strong experience monitoring and analyzing denials, charity write-offs, aged-accounts, and underpayments will surely have the technical skills needed to succeed in this role.
In addition to these expansive responsibilities, the Patient Finance Director will also lead PFS System Utilization. This includes deep analyses of the costs and benefits associated with legacy systems and non-legacy systems alike. As the PFS system lead, the Director will spearhead the development of requirements for build-out, facilitate buy-in and support for enhancements, and directly sponsor new system impacts with regards to the medical center’s financial goals.
