The Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting will join a premier medical facility that provides all traditional hospital services, including emergency, critical care, birthing, pediatrics, cardiology, surgery, imaging, laboratory, rehabilitation, home health, hospice and community education. The hospital is also financially stable and growing.
The Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting will be the accounting, reporting, and internal controls leader for the Health System including but not limited to establishing and maintaining internal controls, assuring integrity of databases and publications of reports, oversight for cost accounting and performance assessment. The Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting will be responsible for the management of all department activities including planning, recruiting, training, coaching and developing staff.
The Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting will provide expert consulting on highly complex program-wide projects with strategic or operational importance. The Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting has broad authority to ensure the implementation and adherence and applicable financial policies and controls. To achieve objectives, Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting will play a key role in coordination with: Department Managers, Compliance Personnel, Program Offices personnel, and all Controllers within healthcare system.
The Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting will lead the implementation, monitoring, correction, and improvement of control systems including: training of personnel; compliance with SOX regulations and others specific to hospital; oversight of corrective action plans to remedy SOX and Audit and Management Identified (AMI) control weaknesses identified; and involvement in control design considerations of systems under development.
The ideal candidate for Hospital Director of Accounting and Reporting will have minimum eight years of comprehensive experience in financial and accounting management with minimum three years of management experience. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with CPA license required. Public accounting or internal audit experience preferred. Healthcare accounting experience preferred. Master's in business administration degree.
