Hospital Critical Care Nursing Manager

A large reputable not-profit hospital in Southern California, that has been serving the local community for decades is seeking an energetic Critical Care Nursing Manager to help lead the surgical intensive care team.

The Critical Care Nursing Manager will have full accountability of the unit and work closely with hospital leadership and the Director of Critical Care to set and achieve short & long-term goals. They will oversee the day to day clinical and operational activities of intensive care unit with support from assistant managers. This will include staff scheduling, training and ongoing education to unsure that patient care is delivered to the highest quality standard.

The RN Manager of ICU will also collaborate with the Human Resources department to interview and maintain necessary staffing levels for the Surgical Critical Care Unit. Providing leadership and acting as a clinical resource for all levels of staff in the Critical Care Unit will help the Nurse Manager of Intensive Care improve staff engagement and retention. Improving patient experience through process improvement and implementation of quality control measures will be one of the main project asked of the Critical Care Nursing Manager.
