A thriving Northern California community hospital is calling for a Clinical Lab Scientist to join its team.
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform quantitative and qualitative clinical laboratory determinations as requested by physicians. The CLS will perform a full range of laboratory tests, from simple urine screening to more complex blood tests that uncover diseases, such as diabetes and cancer.
The Lab Scientist will confirm the accuracy of test results and reports laboratory findings to the physicians. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will also be involved in evaluating new tests, choosing new equipment, and performing quality assurance and quality control. The Clinical Lab Scientist will provide accurate pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing of specimens received in the laboratory.
The Laboratory Scientist is assigned to work or float in appropriate areas. The CLS will participate in activities relating to quality assurance, quality control, proficiency testing, policy and procedure review, in-service training and staff development.
