A community Hospital in Northern California’s beautiful Wine Country is currently seeking a CLS Assistant Manager to oversee technical and administrative operations of this Inpatient Laboratory. The CLS Lab Assistant Manager will join a medical center that is recognized for superior infection rates and patient satisfaction scores, along with a wealth of community outreach programs.
Reporting to the Regional Manager of Inpatient Hospital Laboratory Services, the CLS Assistant Manager will lead clinical and technical operations at this state-of-the-art Laboratory. Supported by Lead Specialists in Hematology, Microbiology, Point of Care, and Chemistry, the Technical Manager will oversee nearly 25 FTEs.
A team-based approach to this large, diverse laboratory staff is crucial for guaranteeing continued buy-in, trust, and efficiency from each member. Actively managing the Microbiologists, Hematologists, Cytotechnologists, Histologists, Phlebotomists, Chemists, and various support staff through direct coaching, team and personal development initiatives, and clear performance expectations will help the CLS Lab Assistant Manager continue the upward trajectory of quality improvement for this lab and for the health care system.
