A great opportunity is available with a respected hospice organization in the Denver, CO area. An inpatient hospice center is actively interviewing to fill a Charge Nurse position.
The Inpatient Hospice Charge RN will work collaboratively with five additional charge nurses that provided 24/7 leadership within the 25 bed hospice home. The team of Charge Nurses assign staff to patients, consult with families & patients having difficult times and schedule staff. The Hospice Charge Nurse will work three, 12 hour shifts per week. The two available shifts are from 6:30 am to 7 pm (days) and 7 pm to 6:30 am (nights). This hustling position will oversee all staff on their floor that may consist of RNs, LVNs, Social Workers, CNAs and Chaplains.
The Hospice Charge Nurse will report to the Nurse Manager of Clinical Services. Experienced RN's coming from an acute care setting are encourged to apply if they have medical surgical, critical care, home health or emergency nursing experience.
