An exciting Senior Financial Analyst opportunity has recently opened with this respected San Francisco Bay Area non-profit Health Plan organization. Join a knowledgeable and dedicated team of financial experts and help advance fiscal decision making models for an organization that improves the lives of thousands of people per year.
The Senior Financial Analyst will join a non-profit health insurance organization that’s committed to improving the lives of men, women, and children throughout San Francisco. Offering a wide array of plans for large and small employer groups alike, families and individuals, as well as Medicare and Medicare Advantage products, this Health Plan has served the community of SF for over 30 years.
Reporting to an experienced and talented Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Health Plan Financial Analyst will join a department that is central to functions of the health plan. You’ll work with a sensitive member, community, and organizational data to extract and analyze actionable insights, presenting your findings to members of the Senior Leadership Council among others. Experience with healthcare-specific financial analysis is crucial to the success of this role.
In the pursuit of discovering these health care financial insights, the Senior Financial Analyst will work with a team of Financial Analysts, occasionally leading a project team. You’ll get to use advanced external software suites such as Truven Analytics and the PACT Database to extract market data, and you’ll use data from the non-profit health plan’s internal Electronic Health Record (EHR) to develop benchmarking comparisons. Although these more advanced software-suites will be important to your analytics, an advanced-level knowledge of SQL (Standard Query Language), MS Excel, and MS Access skills will be your everyday workhorse.
The San Francisco Bay Area is well known to have something for everyone. If you can appreciate great art, a delicious meal, or the great outdoors, you’ll find something special here. Contemporary street art, murals, galleries, and public installations adorn the streets just about everywhere you look. Hundreds of acres of coastline, nature trails, and parkland surround one of California’s most beautiful cities. With Silicon Valley and San Jose a short distance to the south, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and some of California’s best primary schools, the Bay Area is a great place for the Health Plan Financial Analyst to raise a family. Connected by Bay Area Rapid Transit and one of the nation’s best networks of buses and light-rails, you’ll find that it’s easy to get where ever you’re going.
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a very important role in developing and maintaining the data analytics programs that keep this community Health Plan and this hospital running smoothly. You’ll play an important role in creating the internal fiduciary and financial guidelines that will allow this non-profit health plan to continue supporting the region for years to come. Supporting you in this role will be a great team, a tenured and dedicated leadership, a generous benefits package, and a competitive compensation program.
