This San Francisco Bay Area Health Plan is actively recruiting a Sales Director to oversee operations, build a strong team of sales and account management associates, and help lead the organization’s competitive strategy for the region.
Having served the San Francisco community for decades, the Health Plan Manager of Sales will discover an amazing team of clinical and administrative leaders in an integrated health system that embodies high-quality patient care. Just as the health system’s medical group grows to meet increasing demand from a remodeled hospital and clinic system, so too will the health plan’s reach and membership offerings grow to meet the community’s needs.
At the heart of this Health Plan’s growth is the Sales and Development Director. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this person will lead an established team of sales associates and, and have the opportunity to expand the health plan account management team. The Director will take responsibility for both direct and indirect reports, will get to collaborate with internal and external partners, and will gain visibility and access to healthcare leaders throughout the SF Bay Area.
As part of the system’s growth strategy, the Health Plan Sales Director will be tasked with building advanced capabilities and account management experts to reach, retain, and service diverse B2B employer and group types throughout the Seattle Area. From small groups (2-50 members) through enterprise-level (1000+). This Manager will focus on both small-scale individual interactions and large-scale events.
Working in close collaboration with the VP of Operations and the Marketing Director, the Director of Health Plan Sales will assist in developing overall strategy and take responsibility for executing the outside and inside sales procedure for the region. These duties will also include active oversight and mentorship of account management personnel. This person will have visibility in the organization, will work alongside Executives, and will play a community forward role as one of the public faces of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading health plan and managed care sales, particularly around the Covered California exchange space, as well as member outreach and active management of a high-performing health plan sales team. You’ll get to work with decision makers, and you’ll have a direct effect on market strategy for an entire integrated health system.
