An exciting opportunity has recently opened for a Health Plan Finance Manager to join the Insurance Specialist team at this highly-regarded Northern California Health Plan. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and dedicated team of finance experts who are advancing decision making models that affect and improve the lives of a million Californians.
An active member in many California-based health insurance programs, the Finance Manager will join a non-profit health insurance foundation that is committed to improving the lives of men, women, and children throughout Northern California. By keeping its fingers on the pulse of Health Insurance Policy in America, this health plan hopes to ensure and safeguard access to services for thousands of members in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In the pursuit of discovering the health care financial insights that make this possible, the Finance Manager will work with a team of Financial Analysts, in advanced and simple analyses, occasionally leading a project team. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), the Finance Manager will be supported by a strong and experienced team.
The Manager of Finance will get to lead a team using advanced external software suites such as Truven Analytics and the PACT Database to extract market data, as well as use data from the non-profit health plan’s internal Electronic Health Record (EHR) to develop benchmarking comparisons. Although these more advanced software-suites will be important to your analytics, a strong knowledge of SQL (Standard Query Language) and MS Access skills will be the Insurance Financial Analyst’s everyday workhorse.
The San Francisco Bay Area is well known to have something for everyone. If you can appreciate great art, a delicious meal, or the great outdoors, you’ll find something special here. Contemporary street art, murals, galleries, and public installations adorn the streets just about everywhere you look. Hundreds of acres of coastline, nature trails, and parkland surround one of California’s most beautiful cities. With Silicon Valley and San Jose a short distance to the south, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and some of California’s best primary schools, the Bay Area is a great place for the Health Plan Finance Manager to raise a family. Connected by Bay Area Rapid Transit and one of the nation’s best networks of buses and light-rails, you’ll find that it’s easy to get where ever you’re going.
The Finance Manager will play a very important role in developing and maintaining the data analytics programs that keep this community Health Plan and this hospital running smoothly. You’ll play an important role in creating the internal fiduciary and financial guidelines that will allow this non-profit health plan to continue supporting the region for years to come. Supporting you in this role will be a great team, a tenured and dedicated leadership, a generous benefits package, and a competitive compensation program.
