Responsibilities of the Practice Manager GI will be to oversee all administrative responsibilities and day-to-day operations of the Hospital’s Gastroenterology physician practice. The Gastroenterology department offers an array of GI services including endoscopies (Upper GI and Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopies), colonoscopies (screening & diagnostic) procedures to prevent and diagnose disease in order to provide quality care to patients with varying conditions and manage complex disorders including GERD, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Celiac Disease, Chronic Reflux, Ulcers, Nonalcoholic Fatty Live (NASH), Hepatitis C, and more. The Gastroenterology Practice Manager GI will work alongside a dedicated team of board certified gastrologists who are experts in maintaining normal function and treating diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver; specializing in transplant hepatology, advanced endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), motility, and other conditions.
The Gastroenterology Practice Manager GI will be accountable for updating policy procedures, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, staff scheduling, and managing the budget. Additionally, the Practice Manager GI Services will be focused on improving processes while building a stronger team-oriented environment that promotes a high employee retention rate.Reporting to the Senior Director of Ambulatory Services, the Practice Manager Gastroenterology GI will work closely with the physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, registered nurses, technicians, ancillary staff, and third-party vendors, patients, and their families.
This Practice Manager Gastroenterology Services will be a proven leader that is business savvy while acting as a clinical resource to their team as needed. The Practice Manager GI will have prior exposure to managing a clinic or ambulatory practice, ideally holding a clinical background in a procedural setting. The Practice Manager GI Services must also hold a Bachelor’s degree. The Gastroenterology Practice Manager GI is familiar with budgeting along with preparing and managing physician practice regulations, accreditation and survey material.
