Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director of Infection Control will work with Nurse Managers and Coordinators in the department to ensure infection prevention. The CIC Certified Epidemiology Nurse Director will also collaborate with staff and participate in education to ensure policies, procedures, and core metrics are met. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of JCAHO, CDC Regulations and guidelines, OSHA, Title 22, and has hospital experience.
The Nursing Director of Infection Prevention is responsible for hospital-wide infection control and has a broad knowledge of clinical and administrative requirements, along with accreditation/licensure standards. The Nurse Director of Infection Control also participates in the system-wide Infection Control Program and is responsible for the hospital’s Infection Control Model, data entry, and follow up reports to NHSN.
