A respected Bay Area hospital is now hiring for RN Executive Director of Care Management. This reputable hospital is part of a larger healthcare system that includes over 20 acute care hospitals and 60,000 employees. Major service lines include cardiac care, women’s and children’s services, cancer care, orthopedics, and advanced patient safety technology.
Reporting to the Regional VP of Care Management, the Executive Director of Care Management (EDCM) provides oversight to three (3) or more hospitals, and assists the VP of Care Management in the daily operations, implementation of the strategic plan and achievement of organizational goals across four (4) campuses.
The Case Management Executive Director is administratively responsible for the development of systems and day-to-day operations, continuity of case and clinical outcomes of all inpatient case management, including utilization review, discharge planning, social services, disease and population management and transitions of care programs.
This role requires a strong healthcare leader, experienced in acute care hospital Case Management, and who is either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with their Master’s degree. The Case Management Senior Director will be responsible for system wide Case Management Department operations and growth and will require expertise of the healthcare systems policies and procedures in this specialty.
The Ideal Executive Director of Case Management:
- 7+ years’ experience as a senior leader/manager in provider-based multi-site system or operational health plan management
- Financially astute leader, with a successful track record of developing utilization management functions
- LEAN Management experience
- National Certification in Case Management (ACM, ANA RN-BC) within 18 months or hire.
- Current CA RN License
