Reporting to the Administrative Director of the Emergency Department, the ED Manager will provide direction for this busy department. Supporting the Nurse Manager are two CEN Clinical ER Nursing Supervisors, as well as three ED Charge Nurses. This Manager will have the opportunity to work closely with Nursing Leaders from across the Inpatient spectrum, and will serve as the key contact for external Emergency Services Professionals.
The Emergency Department Nurse Manager oversees nearly 60 employees (some of whom are recipients of The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses ®, recognizing the extraordinary, compassionate nursing care they provide patients and families every day) in this 25+ bed ED. Known for its Trauma Center, this Medical Center has received praise for numerous healthcare ranking systemes. From Unit Leaders to the frontline RN Nursing Staff, everyone here takes pride in the superior care they deliver on a daily basis.
The Nurse Manager will lead and manage the daily operations of this busy Emergency Room. This person will serve the staff by empowering nurses to excel in clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and quality improvement. The Manager will get to be a change agent and leader for this department. As an administrative leader, this Manager will also take oversight of budgetary maintenance, as will serve as a subject matter expert in Emergency Services throughout the facility.
