Under the broad supervision of Vice President of Specialty Services, the Director of Organ Transplant Program will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Department of Transplantation and Advanced Organ Therapies programs. The Director of Transplant and Advanced Organ Therapies will be responsible for the successful delivery of the highest quality, cost-effective, patient centered care available for transplant and organ therapies patients that meets or exceeds the expectations of patients, physicians and staff. 

The Director of Organ Transplant Program will be accountable for the supervision, monitoring and evaluation of the transplant program staff. The Director of Transplant and Advanced Organ Therapies will need an advanced level of expertise and overall understanding of organ transplantation and utilizing a wide range of alternatives in problem solving situations, demonstrates a high degree of professional competence and skill. 

The Director of Organ Transplant Services will be responsible for assessing and monitoring medical case management protocols to maintain effective long-term patient management, development of educational materials and programs for patients, nursing staff and physicians. 

The Director of Transplant and Advanced Organ Therapies will develop clinical protocols, and policy and procedures including community education and public relations, transplant donor/recipient coordination and liaison function with organ procurement agencies.  The Director of Transplant and Advanced Organ Therapies should have ten years experience in healthcare management working closely with physicians and clinical staff with Transplant background.
