Director of Risk Management, Patient Safety, and Accreditation

Reporting to the VP of Risk Management, the Director of Risk Management and Accreditation works with Managers, Coordinators, and staff in the department. The Director of Risk Management also maintains the direction and management of the department, and manages staff.

Duties for the Risk Management and Compliance Director include managing Risk Management Programs, oversees Risk Management activities including processing claims filed against the facility, interfacing with defense legal counsel, administers education programs and complies with Risk Management standards set by The Joint Commission. The Risk Management Director also leads with objective of enhancing/promoting patient safety, ensuring quality care and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the organization. The Director of Risk Management also supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
