A wonderful opportunity is now available for a Director of Physical Therapy and Rehab Services. for a 200 bed nonprofit Central California Medical Center.
The Non Profit Medical Center is committed to providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The Rehabilitation Services Department includes physical therapy, occupational therapy, hand therapy and speech therapy. The Director will oversee all physical, occupational and speech therapist at the medical center. The certified and highly trained therapists work with patients and offer a wide variety of services including acupuncture, fall prevention, aquatic therapy, and neurological, orthopedic and vestibular rehabilitation.
The Director of Rehabilitation Services will report to the Vice President of Ancillary Services, and will be supported by a team of Supervisors. The Director of Hospital Rehabilitation Services will be responsible for a team of 55 Therapists.
The Physical Therapy Director should have experience in a management role and be a physical or occupational therapist. The Rehab Service Director will hire, train and evaluate staff in the Rehabilitation Services Department. The Unit Director is responsible for budgeting and developing quality improvement projects.
The Director of Rehabilitation Services will operate throughout the medical center and will manage a department that provides care for patients from neonatal to geriatric. The Director of Physical Therapy should have experience as a Director or Manager at a large Medical Center, and hands on experience as a Therapist.
