Director of Pharmacy

A 50-bed facility located in North Central Idaho is seeking a Director of Pharmacy. This hospital has earned three separate Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval awards which is a symbol of quality that reflects the organization’s commitment to provide safe and effective patient care. This facility is the first hospital in the region with these certifications and is proud to continually uphold these standards.

 The Director of Pharmacy will coordinate services of the pharmacy through communication with the medical and nursing staff to ensure quality and safety standards are being met cohesively and discuss strategies to improve pharmaceutical processes. The Director of Pharmacy will train and educate staff on how to successfully implement the new processes and standards to achieve departmental goals. The Pharmacy Director will assure that proper records and documentation are maintained per protocol and prepare/monitor the department’s operations to uphold the budgetary guidelines. The Director of pharmacy will work with other pharmacy leaders and medical staff to continually advance the department and develop standards to achieve exceptional patient centered care. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors in Pharmacy, years of experience leading a team, and have an active pharmacist license.
