The 500 bed non profit institution has been recognized as a High Performer by US News & World Report. The hospital has received a four star quality rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and is Joint Commission accredited.
The Director of Nursing is the designated leader responsible for providing the overall leadership and direction for Med/Surg/Telemetry, Ortho/Spine/Surgical and Medical Oncology. The Director will be accountable for planning, organizing, developing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the human and material resources necessary for quality patient care and effective nursing operations.
The Nursing Director will participate in assessing the environment, forecasting trends, transmitting values, communicating ideas to the team. The RN Director will also play a key role in developing and implementing standards and initiating programs and systems. The Masters prepared Director will play a key role in developing patient care programs, policies, and procedures that describe how patients' nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.
The RN Leader will direct the development of hospital-wide nursing care programs, policies, procedures, patient care standards and clinical practice that response to the needs of patients, including age related, spiritual and cultural care needs, are assessed, evaluated and met. The Director will promote quality patient care, nursing services and ensures the continuous and timely availability of clinica services.
The Nurse Director will ensure implementation and evaluation of clinical practice to facilitate smooth work flow and quality patient care. The Nurse Director will participate in the evaluation, selection, and integration of health care technology and information management systems that support patient care and efficient utilization of clinical staff.
The RN Leader will ensure compliance with all personnel to safety standards. The Director will promote staff growth and development through effective use of resources. The RN Director will maintain budget and productivity accountability. The RN Leader will implement mechanisms that maintain financial viability of clinical practice.
