Director of Nursing Emergency Services

An accredited acute care hospital located in in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia is currently searching for an experienced Director of Nursing Emergency Services to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This amazing hospital is a part of a larger healthcare system known for high quality care. The hospital is home to over 150 licensed beds and is proud to offer the highest of quality medical and surgical care to the surrounding communities. The Director of Nursing Emergency Services will work with an exceptional team that offers both outpatient and inpatient services including diagnostic imaging, heart and vascular care, cancer care, women’s health, pediatrics, perioperative services, and much more.

The Director of Nursing will lead a 40-bed emergency department and trauma service line that cares for nearly 60k patients annually. In collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Nursing will oversee all clinical and administrative functions of the unit to include fiscal management, resource maintenance, and personnel management of 100+ FTE’s. The Director of Nursing will work to ensure that the mission and vision of the service line are in alignment with that of the health system.

The Director of Nursing Emergency Services is responsible for managing the service line on a 24-hour basis. The Director of Nursing must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Nursing program along with 3-5 years of progressive director-level experience working in an acute care emergency setting. Current West Virginia or compact nursing license is required.
