The Director of Nursing Education will join a large hospital healthcare system recognized for integrating their cutting edge technology and techniques. The Director of Nursing Education will oversee the clinical education department, working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Medical Officer, nursing leaders, and patient care practice managers. The Director of Nursing Education will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop system wide educational initiatives, including departmental curriculum and continuous learning services, through integrating clinical simulations, e-learning courses, and constant hands-on training to constantly improve clinical technical skills. Directly reporting to the Director of Nursing Education will be the Nurse Manager of Education that oversees the learning center, clinical simulations, and e-learning curriculum, and the Clinical Nurse Manager who oversees the Clinical Nursing Educators.
The Director of Nursing Education will be master’s prepared, have previous educational leadership experience and be a current registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant with a recent clinical background and strong technical skills. In addition, the Director of Nursing Education will be familiar with clinical simulations, developing innovative and interactive curriculum, and is able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of education theory and practices. The Director of Nursing Education will have an overall understanding of the healthcare industry; recognizing potential trends while understanding how to mitigate risks and uncertainties that may arise. Additionally, the Director of Nursing Education will be a multi-tasker, strategic thinker, and work well with others.
