This established and well-regarded medical center in the Central California is currently interviewing experienced Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy professionals to fill a new Director role. Join this progressive medical center, and help lead a dedicated and tenured team of inpatient pharmacists.
The Hospital Pharmacy Director will be joining this ancillary services department at a very exciting time. This local non-profit system is experiencing amazing growth, with multiple outpatient clinics currently opening and new service line being offered one after another. It’s no surprise that Pharmacy leadership is looking for a strong manager, someone with strong operations experience, as well as in-depth clinical pharmaceutical experience that typically comes from an Accredited Pharmacy Residency or experience.
Under direction from, and reporting to, the Chief Operating Officer, the Inpatient Pharmacy Director will lead the charge in scaling pharmacy services to meet the demands of a growing healthcare system, hospital system, and community. You’ll oversee a friendly and professional staff of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Techs, and support personnel, while being supported by two Acute Care Pharmacy Supervisors.
Along with the day-to-day of inpatient hospital pharmacy management, the Director will also get to focus on a wide array of operational and clinical challenges, and you’ll get to play a major role in addressing those challenges head on. This is the perfect role for someone who loves complex organizational puzzles, who wants to work directly with healthcare clinical and business leaders, and for someone who wants to grow into a strong leader themselves.
Operationally, the Hospital Director of Pharmacy will develop multiple initiatives addressing best practices and efficient operations within the department, as well as developing staffing and quality assurance methods that will scale with growth. A strong clinical background in quality assurance, LEAN methodology, or other professional experience will prove a strong tool in building efficiencies within these service lines.
Just a short drive from two major centers of entertainment and the great expanses of the Central Valley, the Hospital Pharmacy Director will find something great for any mood. Driving east or west will put you right in the middle of the lights, sounds, and action of the big city. You can explore the cuisine, music, and fun waiting around every corner. If you prefer quiet evenings and gorgeous sunsets, or access to National Parks like Yosemite, you’ll find no place better than California's Central Valley.
The Inpatient Hospital Director of Pharmacy will play a crucial role in the clinical and administrative operations of this hospital. You’ll support the health and well-being of the region, and you’ll support the mission of this hospital. You, in turn, will be supported by a strong and tenured executive leadership team, a competitive compensation package, and a generous benefits structure.
