The Director of Maintenance and Safety will directly support the mission of this health care organization by serving as an operational leader over the facilities that make this all possible.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Director of Facilities Operations and Maintenance will play an integral role in providing leadership to two key departments. Working in collaboration with the Director of Environmental Services and the Director of Plant Operations, the Maintenance and Security Director will serve on a team of Senior Leaders that are dedicated to providing smooth operations to the all the health system’s on-campus and off-campus buildings.

The Director of Facilities Management will serve in a role with direct impacts on Health System Strategy, maintaining both Administrative and Operational work processes. On one hand, this person will oversee facility compliance with regards to OSHA, EPA, The State of California, and The Joint Commission, implementing policy and procedure to ensure continued adherence to these governing bodies.

On the other hand, you’ll directly manage the day-to-day facilities maintenance and security personnel. The Director will apply strong leadership and project management skills to actively oversee ongoing construction, health care facility efficiency upgrades, and ongoing maintenance at the main hospital and throughout the clinic network. Importantly, this role will also coordinate with public services in the surrounding area to ensure facilities and grounds are secure and prepared for emergency conditions.
