Director Clinical Laboratory

A brand-new opportunity for a Director Clinical Laboratory has just become available with a beloved community medical center in Northern New Mexico.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Director Clinical Laboratory will be well-supported by two Clinical Laboratory Supervisors, who have a hands-on supervisory role. In addition to benchwork, the Clinical Laboratory Director will oversee quality assurance and performance improvement programs.

The Clinical Director Laboratory will write laboratory policies and procedures, as well as assess capital equipment needs and initiate procurement procedures. As a strong collaborative leader, the Clinical Director Laboratory will work well within the Laboratory staff and Medical Director as well as interdepartmentally. The Clinical Director Laboratory will have a comprehensive knowledge of hospital laboratory operations in compliance with government and accreditation standards.
