An award winning Orange County Healthcare Organization is actively seeking ICU Staff Nurses to join their Intensive Care Unit
Reporting to the Nurse Manager of the Intensive Care Unit, the ICU Registered Nurse will collaborate with a team of: tenured nurses, educators, respiratory therapists, advanced practice nurses and physicians. The ICU Nurse will provide care in a high reward environment, focusing on quality and patient care.
The ICU Staff Nurse will be responsible for all clinical and operational activities of the units in accordance with the Medical Center mission, vision, and value.
Utilizing the nursing process, you will care for a diverse set of critically ill patients. The ICU Registered Nurse should possess strong skills and knowledge regarding mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, treatment of hemodynamic instability, interpretation and treatment of abnormal lab values, and treatment of underlying disease processes. Highly effective communication and critical thinking skills along with the ability to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team will enable the Critical Care Staff Nurse to perform their job duties to their best ability.
The Intensive Care Staff Nurse will assess, plan, evaluate and document the nursing process in the ICU as needed. The Intensive Care Staff Nurse will ensure patient support through infection control processes, sterility assurance, and product and instrument availability.
