An award-winning acute care hospital located in the Mid-Ohio Valley is currently searching for an experienced Critical Care Nurse Manager to join their accredited healthcare team.
This not-for-profit hospital system is home to over 250 licensed beds and is regionally known to provide a variety of medical and surgical services to the surrounding communities. The Critical Care Nurse Manager will work within a clinical community that has provided the immediate regions with advanced clinical care for over the last 100 years. This hospital offers a wide-range of clinical specialties including behavioral health, oncology, emergency and trauma, general surgery, maternity, pediatrics, neurology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic and reconstructive surgery, radiology, rehabilitation, thoracic and vascular care, as well as women’s health services.
Under direction of the Nurse Director, the Nurse Manager will assist in leading the daily operations of a 20-bed Intensive Care Unit. The Critical Care Nurse Manager will have direct oversight of roughly 50 FTE’s. This critical care unit is a Mixed ICU that is accustomed to accepting all patient cases including those dealing with cardiac, respiratory, post-operative, over doses, and neurological critical conditions as well as many others. The Critical Care Nurse Manager will become a vital member of a critical care nursing team that works cohesively to provide the best possible critical care.
The Critical Care Nurse Manager will have hands-on oversight of the direct patient care delivered within the unit and will evaluate the quality and efficiency of the department as a whole. The Critical Care Nurse Manager will be expected to communicate effectively and collaborate with multiple other departments throughout the hospital and will also assist in representing the critical care service line in meetings and panels. The ideal candidate for this position will have Bachelor’s degree in nursing, current West Virginia licensure, and at least 3 years of progressive critical care leadership experience.
