This 200-bed medical center, well known for its specialty service lines and commitment to the community, is actively seeking a Nursing Director to drive operations in Perioperative Services. This department includes 6 general Operating Rooms, 2 Procedure Rooms, and 2 specially constructed C-Section rooms.
Supported by an amazing and experienced staff of CNOR Nurse Managers, OR Nursing Supervisors, Scrub and Circulating RNs, and support staff, the Clinical Perioperaitve Director will find a unit that feels like a family. In the 21-bed Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), you’ll lead CPAN Nurse Managers, Registered Nurse Supervisors, and Recovery / Post Anesthesia RNs. The Perioperative Nursing Director will also oversee a tenured team of Sterile Processing / Central Supply Managers, Supervisors, and Technologists.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Admin. Director of Perioperative Nursing will work collaboratively with other hospital directors and administrators to set departmental strategy for financial and clinical performance. Strong experience in budgeting and staffing policy and procedure, as well as experience applying LEAN management techniques will help secure the financial future of the department.
From a clinical standpoint, you’ll play a leading role in establishing and supporting developmental initiatives for the large Surgical Services staff. Working with the health care system’s Nurse Director of Education, you’ll develop educative initiatives and programs that will spark interest in the staff and maintain adherence to evidence-based practices.
