The Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will join an interdisciplinary team of medical professionals including an intensive care Nurse Educator, a critical care coordinator and work in tandem with the surgical intensive care unit Nurse Manager. The Critical Care CNS will be working in a fast-paced surgical intensive care unit that performs nearly 20,000 surgeries each year. The Adult Acute Care CNS will be expected to promote further excellence and education of the unit. The Adult Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist will join a team that is also known for their great involvement in community activities.
The Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist should be prepared to provide expert knowledge and efficiently function as the department’s educator, researcher, and mentor. The Adult Acute Care CNS should demonstrate a high level of leadership and actively seeks to better the nursing practice of the surgical intensive care unit.
