The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work autonomously in a dynamic surgical services department that prides themselves in their impressive patient outcomes. The Periop CNS will work collaboratively with the Operating Room, and Surgery clinical team to implement quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based nursing practices and performance improvement plans. 

The Surgical Services department is comprised of well-tenure clinical and allied health professionals that have been serving this 300+ bed hospital for many years. As one of the largest hospitals in Washington, this acute care facility receives referral patients from various nearby, smaller community hospitals. The Perioperative Services Clinical Nurse Specialist will work with a technologically advanced surgery team that provides general and specialty surgical care in: bariatric/weight loss surgery, cancer treatments, cardiovascular surgery, gastrointestinal, neurological, orthopedic, robotic assisted, urology, vascular and women’s health surgical interventions. The clinical nurse specialist will be a go-to resource for both the inpatient and outpatient surgical services teams.
