Clinical Nurse Manager ASC

This busy Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Orange County is actively interviewing candidates for Clinical Nurse Manager. Join this fantastic system of ASCs, lead a dedicated and high-quality team of OR nurses, and enjoy having nights and weekends off!

Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you’ll take a working management role in this 6 Operating Room, 1 GI Room ambulatory surgery center. Upon hire, the Clinical Nurse Manager will discover an extremely busy schedule of procedures. Of the 500+ cases this Ambulatory Surgery Center handles each month, ophthalmology is the most common type, but the ASC also performs General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and of course GI.

Supported by an outstanding team of CNOR Day Surgery RNs, Surgical Technologists, and Scrub/Circulating RNs, and working alongside a compassionate team of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurses, the ASC Nurse Manager will lead Clinical components of the Center. This person will play an important role in skill surveys and competencies, helping the Director develop and implement educational programs. The Manager will get to be a mentor to the staff, supporting development and growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Nurse Leader who has worked in freestanding ambulatory surgery centers, or one who has lead day surgery as part of a larger inpatient Operating Room Service Line. This person will work closely with ASC Administration, as well as the Surgeons, to optimize workflow activities and clinical operations throughout the Surgery Center. Whether considering customer facing interactions, or back office paperwork, continuous quality improvement should be ‘baked into’ all of the ASC Clinical Nurse Manager’s activities.
