The Clinical Nurse Educator will report to the Director of Education and work closely with the Director of Surgical Services in developing training and ongoing education programs for the Surgical Department as well as all hospital staff. By assessing the need for, planning, organizing and implementing education programs for each department in conjunction with the head of each department will be one of the many projects Clinical Nurse Educators will be responsible for.
The ability to evaluate each education and training activity will help the Clinical Nurse Educator maintain and improve the skills and knowledge of each hospital employee. This will result in continuous improvement in patient care outcomes, satisfaction of care by patients and encourage employee development at all levels. This busy hospital provides many services including but not limited to cardiovascular, emergency, intensive care, oncology, and orthopedic services to the surrounding community
